Shanghai LNG station line expansion project pier project is an important part of the LNG station line expansion project, the pier project is the main body of the LNG carrier berthing for loading and unloading operations, is the throat of the project, the construction of the project is of great significance. The wharf construction project will be a new 150,000 gross tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) transport special berths, is expected to be able to carry 15 ~ 180,000 cubic metres of LNG carriers berthing, the wharf at the same time can take into account 0.5 ~ 266,000 cubic metres of LNG carriers berthing. The terminal will be arranged in butterfly shape, consisting of 1 working platform, 6 ship piers, 6 bollard piers, main approach bridge and torch platform, etc. The designed throughput is 6 million tonnes/year, and the berth design capacity is 625 tonnes/year.
According to the Yangshan Port Maritime Bureau staff, the project construction location on both sides of the LNG terminal and oil storage and transportation terminals have been built between the operation of the shallow waters, the construction of narrow waters, and near the complex navigational environment of the Yangshan Deepwater Port navigable waterway, the construction of the project and put into the piling ship, lifting ships and routes are not the same, the voyage of the longer material transport ships, the construction of more difficult, high risk of safety.
