In the afternoon of 24th August, the ship ‘Kangqi Jiahong’ loaded with more than 200 boxes of export steel and furniture set sail from the second container terminal of Tianjin Port, marking the official opening of Sinotrans North China to Southeast Asia (NCP) route in Tianjin Port. The newly opened container line is independently operated by Sinotrans Group Company, with a total of three 1,100 TEU container ships, which provides another direct shipping service to Southeast Asia for the northern region of China.
In 2023, trade between China and ASEAN continued to grow, with bilateral trade reaching RMB 6.41 trillion, making ASEAN China's top trading partner for four consecutive years.
