Tianjin Port, opening the first!

In the afternoon of 24th August, the ship ‘Kangqi Jiahong’ loaded with more than 200 boxes of export steel and furniture set sail from the second container terminal of Tianjin Port, marking the official opening of Sinotrans North China to Southeast Asia (NCP) route in Tianjin Port. The newly opened container line is independently operated by Sinotrans Group Company, with a total of three 1,100 TEU container ships, which provides another direct shipping service to Southeast Asia for the northern region of China.

In 2023, trade between China and ASEAN continued to grow, with bilateral trade reaching RMB 6.41 trillion, making ASEAN China's top trading partner for four consecutive years. Since General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed the construction of a closer China-ASEAN community of destiny in 2013, economic integration between the two sides has continued to deepen, economic and trade cooperation has been increasingly accelerated, cooperation in industries such as green energy and consumer electronics has deepened, and China's exports of electromechanical and electronic products have continued to grow, while ASEAN has been an important source of imports of China's agricultural and energy products.

The opening of the new route not only effectively help trade between the two places, the depth of the industrial chain supply chain interconnection, but also can be Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei as the centre to cover the main sources of cargo in North China, service radiation in the central and western provinces and autonomous regions. The Second Container Terminal makes full use of operational resources, adjusts operational plan in real time by using intelligent management and control system, ensures efficient connection of various links of production and operation, and makes use of C-SERVICE service system of the terminal company to consolidate the initiative of ‘1+N type housekeeping service’ to provide customers with one-on-one customised exclusive service and ‘all-weather, all-process, all-around-the-clock’ service. It provides customers with one-to-one customised exclusive service and multi-dimensional tracking service guarantee of ‘all-weather, all-process, all-round’ to comprehensively improve the quality and efficiency of the new routes with high-quality service and maximise the service advantages of the smart port.

In the next step, Tianjin Port Group will deeply implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech on his visit to Tianjin and the spirit of his important instructions on his visit to Tianjin Port, give full play to the advantages and role of Tianjin Port, build an important strategic pivot point in the northern part of China to connect the domestic and international double-circulation, and take the opening of the new routes as a good opportunity to deepen the practical co-operation with the shipping enterprises, and to boost the ‘big port, big channel, big logistics’. The ‘hard core’ advantage of ‘big port, big channel, big logistics’ has been transformed into a new advantage of high-quality development, and the service has promoted the upgrading of ‘logistics channel’ into ‘development channel’ and ‘channel economy’ into ‘development channel’. upgrading the ‘channel economy’ to ‘port economy’, accelerating the upgrading of the port to create a smart and green hub, promoting the integrated development of port, industry and city and the construction of an international shipping hub in the north, actively striving to be the front-runner of the construction of a modern port in China, and providing better services for the synergistic development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and the construction of ‘One Belt, One Road’. and the construction of ‘One Belt, One Road’.
