On September 26, the first engine independently produced by Hengli Engine (Dalian) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Hengli Heavy Industry Group, was successfully delivered in Hengli Heavy Industry Industrial Park, Changxing Island, Dalian.

This type of machine is 6G50ME-C9.6-HPSCR (HE0001), 11 meters high, weighing 250 tons, equipped with high-pressure selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system, meeting the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Tier III emission standards, and all performance indicators in the test stage meet the requirements of relevant technical specifications. Compared with the traditional model, this type of machine has a longer stroke, higher propulsion efficiency, more energy saving and environmental protection, which is in line with the green and low-carbon development trend of the shipbuilding industry.

At present, Hengli Engine has obtained more than 140 engine orders, and the first engine was successfully delivered, marking that Hengli Engine has fully equipped with marine engine manufacturing capacity, and has achieved a major breakthrough in the field of ship power from 0 to 1 independent production, and the engine will be installed on the 82,000 dwt bulk carrier built by Hengli Heavy Industry.

According to reports, by next year, after the first and second phases of Hengli Heavy Industry Industrial Park are all put into production, Hengli Heavy Industry will reach an annual processing capacity of 2.3 million tons of steel, produce 180 engines, and achieve full coverage of liquefied natural gas (LNG), liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), methanol and ammonia.
