CHINA's Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, located between Nanjing and Shanghai, has handed over the LNG dual-fuel 16,000-TEU MSC Germany.
This is the Mediterranean Shipping Co's (MSC) fifth LNG dual-fuel same size containership in a series of vessels, reports LNG Prime of Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina.
This ship is the second largest containership built by Yangzijiang equipped with a wind deflector, which reduces wind resistance.
The fourth vessel, MSC Annamaria, also features a wind deflector, while the other threes do not.
In total, Yangzijiang has 62 LNG dual-fuel containerships in its order book.
