COSCO Shipping Ports Limited reported a 5.6 per cent year-to-date increase in container throughput to 66.72 million TEU through July 2025, with overseas terminals driving growth, reported Saint Petersburg�� PortNews.
Excluding Qingdao Ports International (QPI) and Container Terminal Tollerort (CTT), July throughput rose 3.9 per cent year-on-year to 10.05 million TEU. The company said total volumes continued to climb steadily.
In China, throughput grew 4.5 per cent in the Bohai Rim region and 7.6 per cent on the Southwest Coast. The domestic portfolio posted a 1.9 per cent increase overall.
Overseas operations excluding CTT saw an 8.7 per cent rise, led by CSP Zeebrugge Terminal NV, which handled 78,200 TEU in July-a 21.1 per cent year-on-year gain.
Subsidiaries recorded a modest 0.6 per cent increase in throughput, while non-subsidiaries excluding QPI and CTT rose 5.3 per cent.
COSCO Shipping Ports Limited is incorporated in Hong Kong and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. It operates as a subsidiary of China COSCO Shipping Corporation Limited, managing a global network of container terminals.
