Ocean Alliance carriers will expand North American connections from Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent in their 2026 network, including a return to Jacksonville after seven years, reports New York's Journal of Commerce.
CMA CGM, Cosco Shipping and Evergreen Marine announced the Day 10 product covering 14 services to the West Coast and eight to the East Coast, effective April. The number of services remains unchanged from 2025, but port rotations highlight a sourcing shift away from China.
Haiphong will gain four new transpacific calls, including PSW9 to Long Beach and PNW2 to Vancouver and Seattle. CMA CGM also plans a US$600 million terminal at the Vietnamese port. Haiphong will join USEC3 and USEC5 services to the East Coast, while Cai Mep replaces its previous USEC8 call.
Laem Chabang in Thailand will be added to PSW7 into Los Angeles, replacing Port Klang. Colombo in Sri Lanka will join USEC5 to Savannah, adding a second Ocean Alliance service from the Indian subcontinent. Kaohsiung in Taiwan and Busan in South Korea will also be included on backhaul rotations.
Chinese ports see minor changes, with Yangpu added to PSW9 and PNW2, Tianjin to PSW5 and Hong Kong to PNW2. Xiamen gains a second service on USEC4 but loses its USEC5 call in favour of Haiphong.
Container volumes from Southeast Asia to the US rose at double-digit rates through most of 2025, according to PIERS.
Jacksonville will join the USEC6 Gulf Coast service, replacing New Orleans. The Ocean Alliance last called Jacksonville in 2019. Charleston will be dropped from USEC4 in favour of Baltimore, while Baltimore will be removed from USEC5.
