SAFMARINE has added another e-product to its range of web-based accessories with the launch of its application for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch that enables customers to download and access shipment information.
 

    "Customers can look up sailing schedules, track containers or consignments or find contact details," said Benoit Lebrun, global e-business manager said in a company statement.
 

    The tool can be used to track cargo consignments using a container or booking number. A search can be customised by saving the container/booking number in the "hotlist", he said. Then, by enabling the "push notification", any new moves for tagged containers will be automatically sent to the user (customer).
