Qantas launches new Sydney to Dallas-Fort Worth service

    QANTAS Airways has inaugurated new direct flights from Sydney to Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW). The service will initially operate four times per week, with a view to increasing the frequency in future subject to demand.


    The Boeing 747 flight, QF7, will depart Sydney Airport at 13:25, arriving at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport at 13:50 hrs (all times are local).


    The carrier said this is its first new international destination since Buenos Aires in 2008. The first inbound service, QF8, will depart Dallas at 22:00 hrs, arriving in Brisbane at 05:00 hrs and flying onwards to Sydney, landing at 08:05 hrs. Flying time from Sydney to Dallas is 15 hours 25 minutes, and flying time from DFW to Brisbane is 16 hours.


    Through its codeshare partnership with American Airlines, the Australian airline will offer services beyond Dallas to 54 destinations in the United States, Canada and Mexico, including Chicago, Las Vegas, Miami, New orleans, New York, Washington, Toronto, Vancouver, Cancun and Mexico City, it said.
