AUSTRALIAN flag carrier Qantas Airways has announced its services to and from west Australia's Perth and New Zealand will remain suspended on June 16, while services to and from Tasmania will be resumed as the ash cloud from Puyehue-Cordon Caulie Volcano has abated on the route.
Additionally, the airline has relaunched services to and from Adelaide.
"Qantas will continue to monitor the movement of the ash cloud and assess its impact on flight operations as the situation develops. The Qantas Group's approach to flying is based on the highest standards of safety and risk assessment. Safety is always put before schedule," said a company statement.
