Xinjiang plans to build 76,000 kilometre of highways in five years

    XINJIANG will construct a total of 76,000 kilometres of roads before 2015 according to its development plan which will bring the length of roadways in this rural area to 110,000 kilometres, Xinhua reports.

    During this period, Xinjiang will build seven national highways in Urumqi and Kashgar, four eastward roads connecting China hinterland and eight westward cross-border roads to expand its road network.
