June 14, 2013 saw the renewal ceremony of memorandum of understanding on friendly cooperative exchanges 2013-2015 between the city of Shanghai and Rotterdam. According to the memo, Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI) and Erasmus Smart Port Rotterdam (ESPR) will continue strengthen their cooperation in research project, staff exchange and training, etc.
SISI and ESPR have decided to conduct joint research on two programs, namely, port development sustainability, and, port development evaluation indicators. They have come to consensus on research objectives, approaches, content and so on. Later this year, SISI will send two researchers to ESPR to further their studies on the said topics.
SISI enjoys friendly and rewarding exchanges with ESPR, and the two sides boast great potential. They look forward to enhancing and furthering such cooperative relations in the future, thus contributing to the sustainable development and friendly cooperative ties of the two cities. |
