Damco doubles-up in Abu Dhabi

Damco has formed a joint-venture with industrial conglomerate General Holding Corporation to launch a new logistics firm in Abu Dhabi.
Damco Abu Dhabi will provide logistics and forwarding services in the country.
It will employ around 40 people and have offices in the airport and other key locations.
An area has also been earmarked for a substantial warehouse development.
Suhail Mubarak Al-Ameri, Director General of General Holding Corporation, said: “The supply chain joint-venture with Damco is a key element in supporting the Abu Dhabi Vision 2030 and the long-term sustainable growth of the emirate by providing a competitive link to suppliers overseas and new export markets globally.”
Klaus Tindborg, CEO of Damco Middle East, added: “Damco Abu Dhabi represents our commitment to develop significantly in the region, and we are excited to be involved in this fast-growing market.”
