Hong Kong box volumes slip in November

    Hong Kong: The East Asian port of Hong Kong posted a drop in box handling volumes in November, according to figures from the port authority.

    Container throughput at the port last month stood at 1.99m teu, down from 2.09m teu in the same period of 2010.

    Month-on-month, box traffic also fell from 2.07m teu.

    In the first 11 months of this year, Hong Kong recorded 22.28m teu of throughput, up 3% compared to 21.64m teu in the corresponding period of last year.
