On July 13, 2011, the 2011 Annual Meeting of SISI Expert Committee and the Symposium on “Evaluation and Recommendations for SISI Construction” was held. Ma Shuo, Director of SISI Expert Committee and Vice President of World Maritime University, presided over the meeting. Also present at the meeting were twenty experts, including Director Wang Mingzhi of the Commission Office of Shanghai Combination Port, Inspector Zhu Jianhua of Shanghai Municipal Transport and Port Authority, and former Deputy Director Wang Haiping of Tianjin Port Authority.
    Secretary-General Zhen Hong of SISI presented a work report to the Expert Committee. In addition to giving full recognition of SISI’s operation, the experts also put forward pertinent advices on building SISI’s own expert team, integrating social resources, and highlighting its characteristics. Meanwhile, the experts also discussed the development of Shanghai International Shipping Center, and raised some issues worthy of further study and exploration.
