On November 28, 2011, Director General from the Norwegian Ministry of Trade and Industry, Mrs. Ida Skard, and Mrs. Elin Gjedrem, Consul of the Royal Norwegian Consulate General visit Shanghai International Shipping Institute.
Mrs. Ida Skard is very interested in knowing more about the development in the regulations concerning shipping and maritime activities in China. She expressed her willingness in promoting the marine sector in Norway and China. Since the two countries rank probably the fifth and third in terms of marine industry throughout the world, it would be of great significance that the two countries enjoy close ties in exchanges and cooperation in the maritime and its related industry.
Li Gang, Party Secretary and Deputy Secretary of SISI, and Zhang Jieshu, Deputy Secretary of SISI, gave a brief introduction of SISI, and put forth a few interested topics aiming at future cooperation with the Norwegian counterparts.
It has become both parties’ common observation that it shall be of great importance that SISI delegation visit its Norwegian counterparts in the next year. |
