Portia Management Services Limited Seeks to Become Buddy

On March 28, 2012, Mr. Richard Bradshaw, Deputy Managing Director of Portia Management Services Limited came with his colleagues to visit Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI).

Prof. Zhen Hong, Secretary General of SISI, sent warm greetings on behalf of SISI to the British guests, and gave a brief introduction of SISI. Mr. Bradshaw appreciated Prof. Zhen’s kindness and introduced in return Portia Management Services Limited and its parent company—Peel Holdings. In particular, Mr. Bradshaw mentioned that Peel Holdings is seeking developing opportunities in Shanghai. He hoped the current visit could be an excellent opportunity to further mutual understanding and establish a sound basis for future cooperation. The parties then went on to have a friendly exchange on their port operation and project management experience and expertise.

Portia Management Services Limited Portia Management Services was established in 1978 and is the international arm of Peel Ports Limited the U.K.'s second largest ports group handling around 65 million tonnes of cargo annually. With experience spanning more than three decades, Portia takes pride in making positive contribution to the development, management and operation of varied ports worldwide. Its China experience includes management and operational strategies project for the Port Authorities of Yantian and Fangchenggang between 1998 and 2000, and Shanghai’s Grain Terminal Development in 2001. Its main business lines cover management and operations, training and advisory. Portia is registered as a firm of Port Consultants with international agencies including the World Bank, the United Nations, the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development, and the European Commission.
