The “First Meeting & New Year Tea Party of the Joint Meeting of Shanghai Shipping Industry organizations” was held at SISI at about 14:00 on January 15. The participants included secretaries-general and principals from 14 Shanghai-based shipping industry organizations such as Shanghai Ports Federation, Shanghai Transportation Trade Association, Shanghai Port Trade Association, Shanghai Trade Association of Warehouses and Storage, Shanghai Customs Association, Shanghai International Freight Forwarders Association, Shanghai Shipowners' Association, Shanghai Customs Brokers Association, Shanghai Office of China Association of Shipping Agencies & Non-Vessel-Operating Common Carriers, Shanghai Logistics Association, Shanghai Cruise Ship and Yacht Association, and SISI.

At the meeting, all members reported their major work plans for 2010, reviewed and approved in principle the activity rules of the joint meeting, and discussed arrangements of the joint meeting in 2010. Cai Meiyi, Standing Vice President of Shanghai Port Trade Association, and Zhang Yunlong, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Ports Federation, were elected respectively as the Secretary-General and Deputy Secretary-General of the joint meeting.
