Port of Weifang port handled 2.57 million tonnes in first two months

    Mar.19--EASTERN China's Port of Weifang in Shandong province posted a 17 per cent year on year increase in cargo volume to 2.57 million tonnes in the first two months of the year, reports Xinhua.
    The port's central area handled 2.41 million tonnes while the western area handled 157,000 tonnes.
    In February, the port moved 1.29 million tonnes of cargo with a year-on-year growth of 44 per cent. Water transport in Weifang city posted a 9.4 per cent increase in cargo volume to 676,000 tonnes in the same period.
