Mar.19--PORTS in Fujian province, across from Taiwan, lifted 660,000 TEU in January and February, 6.8 per cent more year on year, Xinhua reports.
    The Port of Xiamen handled 951,900 TEU, up 7.8 per cent. Fuzhou volume increased 1.7 per cent to 241,200 TEU and Meizhou Bay ports moved 217,900 TEU, up 8.7 per cent.
    In overall tonnage, Fujian volume was up 8.7 per cent to 55.89 million tonnes year on year with Xiamen up 2.1 per cent to 23.74 million tonnes with Fuzhou rising 10.9 per cent to 14.92 million tonnes and Meizhou Bay ports increasing 14.5 per cent to 17.23 million tonnes.
