Successfully held on December 15, 2010 in Jin Mao Tower., the “Far East Horizon Shipping Finance Forum 2010” was attended by Yu Shicheng, Party Committee Secretary and President of Shanghai Maritime University and Director of SISI; Li Gang, Deputy Secretary-General of SISI; and Gan Aiping, Deputy Director of SISI Shipping Finance Institute. Mr. Li Gang made a keynote speech entitled “Development and Trends of Domestic and Overseas Shipping Markets”.

Other guests included Jia Kang, Director of the Research Institute of Fiscal Science of the Ministry of Finance, and leaders from China Classification Society, China Ports & Harbours Association, several maritime safety administrations, Shanghai Finance Office, and China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, Sinochem Group etc. In addition, 100 ship-owners and 50 representatives from other channels also attended the Forum. Participants conducted extensive discussions and exchanges on China’s macro economy, fiscal reform, shipping development trend, and impacts of new standards of ship technology on shipbuilding and shipping, etc.
