At 15:00 on October 15, 2010, as invited by Italian Trade Commission, representatives of Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI) attended the seminar on “Italian Port Cities and Their Connections with the Far East” in Italy Pavilion, Zone C of Shanghai Expo Site.

At the seminar, Chairman Francesco Nerli of Italian Ports Association and Vice Chairman Lorenzo Forcieri of Ligurian Ports, Chairman Giuseppe Parrello of North Adriatic Ports Association, and other representatives of Italian ports introduced the status quo and experience of the development of Italian ports.

After the seminar, Director Cai Meiyi of SISI Port Development Institute, on behalf of SISI, conducted a brief discussion with Italian representatives on ways to develop the cooperation between the ports of the two countries. The seminar promoted mutual exchanges and cooperation, and achieved good results.
