Dalian’s China Railway Tielong Container Logistics has recorded a 64 per cent year-on-year increase in first quarter net profit to CNY116.28 million (US$17 million).

The company's operating revenue rocketed 113 per cent to CNY574 million, largely on the back of property earnings and improved railway operations, China Knowledge reported. Total revenue for the year was expected to reach CNY2.1 billion.

Tielong's cargo throughput at Yingkou Port, Liaoning province increased 29 per cent year-on-year while container traffic was up 59 per cent.
