The air and ocean freight and logistics company’s new location is in the center of the Lingang District of Shanhai and close to the Yangshan Port. Logwin also established a 21,500-square-foot logistics facility in the city’s northern region of Baoshan.
Logwin, which also has offices in 48 other cities in Asia, says the move is in response to an increased demand for “value added logistics services in the fashion retail sector” in China. Operations at the Baoshan facility will focus on quality checking, price tagging, sorting, labelling and scanning.
“Logwin works with some of the world’s leading fashion retailers and consumer demand is growing in China for high-end fashion goods from Europe,” Henk Westerhoek, Logwin’s Managing Director, China, said. “This demand has resulted in an expansion of our logistics facilities in Shanghai and in other cities in China.”
Logwin also provides services to customers in the automotive, retail, hi-tech and high-end consumer goods and chemicals industries.
