At about 10 a.m. on April 26, representatives of Det Norske Vertas (China) Co., Ltd. (DNV) visited Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI), and conducted in-depth discussions on future cooperation with SISI’s experts.

The participating representatives included Mr. Jorg Beiler, Vice President of DNV Global, Chairman of the Greater China Region and General Manager of Ship Department; Director Huang Jin of Marketing and Business Development of the Greater China Region; Manager Bu Ping of the Training Department of Shanghai Drawing Check Center; and General Manager Wu Jusheng of Maritime Advisory Department of the Greater China Region. SISI Secretary-General Zhen Hong and Deputy Secretary-General Li Gang attended the meeting.

Mr. Zhen Hong and Mr. Jorg Beiler exchanged on their own workings and expressed intentions of bilateral cooperation. At the meeting, the two sides basically reached a consensus on future cooperation in forums, lectures, personnel exchanges, and research projects, etc. The detailed contents of cooperation will be written into a formal proceeding afterwards, marking the establishment of the formal partnership between the two sides.
