Prof. Sergio Prete, President of Italian’s Port of Taranto Authority, shared with SISI (Shanghai International Shipping Institute) his latest research results on the practice of landlord port worldwide in today’s workshop held at SISI.
Prof. Prete divided his presentation into four parts, where he touched upon the status quo of landlord port model in Europe and Italy in particular, then discussed the reasons why it has not been popular in China yet and conditions to facilitate the introduction of the model and possible risks and problems incurred. A Q&A session followed where SISI’s researchers put forward questions of their interest.
Prof. Prete later was awarded the visiting scholar certificate of SISI and appointed as member of SISI’s Expert Committee.
