On May 31, 2012, the delegation of Shanghai International Shipping Institute visited Antwerp/Flanders Port Training Center (APEC). Paul Verkoyen, CEO of APEC and Liu Guojin, Advisor Far East of Antwerp Port Authority carried out a successful negotiation about training cooperation with Shanghai International Shipping Institute, formulating a framework of cooperatively-run training.

During the meeting, Mr. Verkoyen said that he was very pleased to meet old friends from SISI. He recalled the talk during his visit in Shanghai and anticipated further cooperation with SISI. Zhen Hong, Secretary-General of SISI presented gifts and 2011 Global Port Development Report on behalf of SISI.
