On the afternoon of June 2, 2011, organized by Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI) and Joint Meeting of Shanghai Shipping Industry organizations, and operated by Shanghai Customs Society and China E-Port Data Centre Shanghai Sub-Centre, the “Seminar on E-port and Shanghai Port Informationization Construction” was convened smoothly at China E-Port Data Centre Shanghai Sub-Centre. Presided over by Cai Meiyi, Secretary-General of the Joint Meeting of Shanghai Shipping Industry organizations, the Seminar commenced with a detailed introduction to the progress of e-port construction in Shanghai by leaders from the Seminar operators. All participants engaged in lively discussions, putting forth comments and suggestions on issues of common concern. Then, they visited the Server Room and Call Center of China E-Port Data Centre Shanghai Sub-Centre.
The Seminar featured the attendance of leaders and experts from Shanghai Ports Federation, Shanghai Transportation Trade Association, Shanghai Port Trade Association, Shanghai Trade Association of Warehouses and Storage, Shanghai Customs Society, Shanghai Shipowners' Association, Shanghai Customs Brokers Association, Shanghai Office of China Association of Shipping Agencies & Non-Vessel-Operating Common Carriers, Shanghai Logistics Association, Shanghai Cruise Ship and Yacht Association, SISI and other organizations.
Also attending the Seminar were Director Zhang Jieshu of SISI, Director Shen Kangchen of SISI Shipping Information Technology Institute and Director Xu Kai of Information Department.
