On September 26, 2013, the delegation of Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI) visited the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) and exchanged views with Commissioner Richard Lidinsky and Commissioner William Doyle.

Mr. Lidinsky introduced the organization structure, main function and latest development of FMC, and analyzed the implementation background and the influence of the Jones Act. Prof. Zhen Hong, Secretary General of SISI, expressed his opinion about the reaction to P3 Alliance in Chinese shipping industry. Meanwhile, FMC was invited to attend SISI’s annual conferences on International Shipping & Port Development. Both sides discussed the potential cooperation in the future.
