On September 27, 2013, the delegation of Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI) discussed with Prof. Yahalom and Prof. Guan from SUNY Maritime College on the development of Sino-U.S. Shipping Economics Institute.

To strengthen the close communication and cooperation of Sino-US shipping research, SISI set up the Sino-US Shipping Economics Institute in 2010. Both sides discussed the issues on how to better promote the progress of Sino-U.S. Shipping Economics Institute. SISI warmly invite Prof. Guan to SISI for a short-term research visit. Besides, both sides discussed further cooperation about shipping research projects.
