The interim consulting meeting on the “Pilot FTZ Shipping Negative List and Research on Regulatory Mechanism and Mode of Shanghai International Shipping Center” entrusted by the former Shanghai Urban Construction and Communications Commission (SHUCM) was successfully held at Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI) on May 14, 2014. SHUCM Vice Director Zhang Lin chaired the meeting.
At the meeting, Xiao Baojia, deputy director of the SISI and vice president of Shanghai Maritime University, introduced the researches conducted by the research team, and SISI Secretary-General Zhen Hong reported on the first-stage research result - “Evaluation of the Implementation Effects of Shipping Negative List 2013 and Suggestions on Special Management Measures of Foreign Investment Access to Shipping Sector in the Pilot FTZ 2014” - on behalf of the research team. A expert panel provided opinions and suggestions on the research team’s interim research result. The expert panel consists of Xu Zuyuan, former vice minister of transport, Zhu Jianhua, former inspector of Shanghai Municipal Transport and Port Authority, Li Hongyin, deputy director of Water Transport Bureau of the Ministry of Transport, Yu Shicheng, secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai Maritime University, and Ma Shuo, vice president of World Maritime University.
