In light of the company’s future development needs, this study starts with the actual market situation (shipping volume, capacity, freight, carrier), discusses the future characteristics and trend of the market, and analyzes the demand, trade change and fleet change in the next five years. Meanwhile, in view of the influences on the future market caused by Maersk’s new ultra-large container ships and the appearance of new alliances, the study proposes the countermeasures and suggestions for China Shipping Container Lines (CSCL) to cope with the market situation.
