Qingdao boasts the largest number of international passenger and cargo liners of all coastal ports in China. Under the background that international cruise reception business is on the rise, the environment for developing cruise economy is increasingly better, and cruise tourism products are diversified, this research group studies the current development of cruise economy in Qingdao, and puts forth the guideline, goals and overall layout for developing the cruise economy. It analyzes a wide range of issues, including cruise terminal construction, cruise route development, development of onshore tourism products and lines, cruise marketing and promotion, comprehensive service system, auxiliary projects, and guarantee system, and eventually proposes the policies and measures for cruise economy development.
