With port logistics in Yantai as the subject, this study analyzes the internal and external environment, opportunities and challenges for Yantai port to develop port logistics. It clarifies the guideline, strategic positioning and goals thereof, initiates to build a network-based comprehensive logistic service system based on the port logistics park and logistic service chain, and proposes the strategic suggestions for logistic development. The purpose of the study is to provide the reference and measures for Yantai’s strategic development of port logistics industry, with the aim to make Yantai port a modern international logistic center in the region of the Yellow Sea and Bohai Sea oriented toward the Northeastern Asia, and make the port logistics industry in Yantai a key driver for economic growth and transformation.
