The FPSO RAIA Topside project is deployed in a giant frontier area in the southern Campos Basin, approximately 200 km off the coast of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in water depths of up to 2,900 metres. Designed to hold 2 million barrels of oil, it has a daily capacity of 126,000 barrels of oil and 16 million cubic meters of gas.

As previously reported, on October 10,2023, Mitsui Marine (MODEC) and BOMESC signed a contract for the construction of the upper module of the floating production storage vessel (FPSO), the main scope of work covers the detailed design, processing design, material procurement and construction of the upper module of the FPSO, which is contracted by BomESC BACALHAU The FPSO Topside is followed by a floating production storage vessel using a combined cycle gas turbine, which significantly reduces carbon emissions during operations.

It is reported that Bomaiko established a cooperative relationship with MODEC in 2007, and the two sides have cooperated on more than 10 FPSO upper module projects.
