Yesterday (March 6), the shipping company Maersk issued an urgent notice - Finnish transport workers (AKT) announced a political strike that will result in the forced closure of the country's ports for two weeks (March 11 - March 25).

The Finnish Transport Workers' Union (AKT) has announced a political strike in opposition to the government's proposed amendments to Labour legislation. A two-week political strike will affect all port operations in Finland. In addition, the strike will also affect Finland's industrial and service sectors.
The strike will run from 6am on Monday 11 March until 6am on Monday 25 March.
Maersk added in the statement that it will provide customers with further information on the impact of the strike on Maersk feeder operations as soon as possible in the coming days.
