Recently, Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry and Dubai World Ports Group held a signing ceremony for a 5,000 tonne crane vessel in Dubai, UAE. H.E. Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of Dubai World Ports Group, Rado Antolovic, CEO of Dubai Dry Dock World, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company, Yu Ruikai, Vice President and Chief Craftsman Lu Hanzhong, and Vice President Shen Qiuyuan attended the ceremony.
H.E. Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem said that the signing of this 5,000-tonne crane vessel is a strategic milestone in the development of Dubai Dry Dock World, which will be conducive to providing better services to customers and enhancing the competitiveness of the global market, and hoped that the two sides will further strengthen their cooperation in the future, promote the complementation of each other's strengths, and realise the development and win-win situation.
Rado Antolovic said that the construction of the 5000 tonne crane ship will be a major event in the development of Dubai Dry Dock World, the ship will further enhance the project management and implementation capacity, and hope to further strengthen the communication with Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry, deepen the mutually beneficial cooperation, and work together to achieve high-quality development.

This 5,000 tonne crane vessel is fully responsible for the design, procurement, construction and sea transportation by the company. The vessel meets the requirements of high temperature operation in the Persian Gulf waters, with a length of 138.5m, a beam of 52m, a design draught of 5.8m, a crew of 58, a lifting height of 120m for the main hook of 5000 tonnes, a lifting height of 180m for the secondary hook of 600 tonnes, and is equipped with mooring and positioning system, which makes it suitable for offshore module installation, offshore wind power installation, bridge lifting and assembly of large engineering vessels and other engineering projects. After delivery, the vessel will be the largest crane ship of the same type in the Persian Gulf and Africa.
