July 13th, China Railway Container Transport Co., Ltd., Shenyang Railway Bureau, Harbin Railway Bureau, China Shipping (Group) Company, Dalian Municipal Government, Dalian Port Group signed a six-party Framework Agreement on Northeast China Ocean-Rail Combined Transport Strategic Cooperation, further reinforcing the place of Dalian at the centre of sea-rail transport in Northeast China.

Under the agreement, a six-party liaison and coordination mechanism will be established with the following goals.

To enhance cooperation in market development and marketing channel expansion; to strengthen cooperation with inland railway stations, inland dry ports, container terminals, container ports and other ocean-railway combined transport projects; to make Dalian Port a transit and logistics hub in Northeast China; to strengthen business cooperation, build up an information platform and realize the sharing of resources.
