Organized by ShippingChina (www.shippingchina.com) and co-organized by SISI and Hongkou Chamber of Shipping, the Shipping Mart National Tour Forum (Shanghai) was successfully held at the Lecture Hall in the Building 2 of SISI on June 4, 2009.

China's export industry has hit an air pocket since the outbreak of financial crisis, putting our export-oriented economy to the test and resulting in unprecedented challenges for the international shipping industry. Following the nationwide Maritime E-commerce Tour Forum in 2007, ShippingChina intends to organize another tour forum this year to provide a new maritime e-commerce service model for freight forwarders, and unite all forces of the industry to tide over the financial crisis through joint efforts.

The President of ShippingChina addressed the forum and delivered a speech themed "Building a Blue New Economy through Network"; President of Shanghai International Freight Forwarders Association shared his opinions on how to put together strengths and efforts of freight forwarders to deal with the economic crisis; Chairman of MTG Network discussed how MTG and ShippingChina could create international opportunities for Chinese freight forwarders; CBG's founder also spoke about the "Investment and Financing Opportunities of the Shipping Industry in the Financial Crisis"; at last, freight forwarders shared their experience of using the Shipping Mart e-commerce and discussed ways to tide over financial crisis.
