Invited by Shanghai International Shipping Institute(SISI), Jin Xueshao led a team of 13 people of Korea Maritime Institute visited the new campus of Shanghai Maritime University on November 8, 2010 AM. Deputy Director of Shanghai International Shipping Institute,Vice President of Shanghai Maritime University Prof.Huang Youfang warmly welcomed the Korea guests. The two sides had a conversation on the cooperation of Korea Maritime Institute and Shanghai International Shipping Institute & Shanghai Maritime University.

    Korea Maritime Institute is a government research institution under the South Korean Premier Room.Since its establishment of 1997,it specializes in policy research of shipping, ports, logistics and marine and aquatic areas and has a great impact on South Korean government's policies in related areas.Shanghai International Shipping Institute and Korea Maritime Institute signed a 5-year cooperation agreement on December 15, 2009.Since then the two sides conducted a series of academic exchanges.   

    Vice President Huang Youfang expressed a warm welcome to the visit of President Jin Xueshao and his party.Office director of Shanghai International Shipping Institute Zhang Jieshu presented the situation of academic exchange over the past one year since the cooperation agreement between Shanghai International Shipping Institute and Korea Maritime Institute signed.Vice President Huang Youfang and President Jin Xueshao exchanged some views on their wider and deeper cooperation and determined the framework for future cooperation.
    Vice President Huang Youfang accompanied President Jin and his party visited the new school campus.President Jin Xueshao is a South Korea expert in the field of logistics and port.For this reason, Shanghai Maritime University appointed President Jin Xueshao as visiting professor at my school. Subsequently,President Jin made a wonderful speech entitled "China and South Korea logistics cooperation program" to more than 150 students.
