On the afternoon of September 28, a reporter and relevant staff of MBC TV Korea interviewed Professor and Secretary-General Zhen Hong of Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI) about the construction plan and port development along the Huangpu River.

Through a long-term arduous development and governance, a world-famous landscape belt has been formed along Shanghai Huangpu River. Therefore, MBC TV Korea intended to produce a feature program entitled “A City’s River”, focusing on the construction plan and port development along the Huangpu River. The interview with Professor Zhen Hong was an important part of the program.

As one of the three most important television stations in South Korea, MBC TV has always been committed to cultural exchange and communication between China and South Korea since the establishment of their diplomatic relations. Its production of documentaries and TV series has long won extensive praise and recognition from Chinese and Korean audience.

During the interview, Professor Zhen Hong introduced the vast scale, long history, important role and international position of the Port of Shanghai, and described the key role played by SISI in Shanghai’s regional economic development.
